Designed with a removable label that reveals laser etched graphic underneath that imitates a spray paint warning.
Logo & Packaging: 2nd release
After the product release, the logo was modified for legal concerns on the infringement of Krylon's logo. Alterations were made to suggest spray paint splatters. The packaging was also changed to black background to help it stand out on the shleve.
On the back of the graphic are ingredients and directions for popular cocktails to help imitate the writing found on spray cans. Overlapping language such as "shake well" "flammable contents" and "keep away from children" are incorporated into the graphic to help the gimmick.
The cap has a laser etched graphic to insinuate a spray nozzle along with a directional arrow.
The original design was fully laser etched, spun aluminum shaker that was going for a higher price point with a more refined look. This was cut for cost and manufacturing complexities due to the amount of laser etching required.
Pitching the idea and product to Kikkerland's CEO Jan van der Lande in their NYC office.
Prototype used for final presentation. Made from deconstructed spray paint cans.
The original design had a small "breath spray" like bottle incorporated into the top for vermouth. The cocktail would be poured out the side through a strainer after being mixed, and a mist of vermouth sprayed as a final touch. This was cut at mid-cit due to extra tooling costs and lack of adding to the purchasing appeal of the overall product.
